2017 CPCC Skyline Run

In an attempt to convey movement, I created a custom typeface that emerged as a result of me handwriting, “Skyline Run” with broad, expressive, rounded strokes, repetitively, until the desired image was composed. During the refining process I used the pen tool to craft the lines into shoelaces and added the aglet, which was the final touch, thus solidifying the connection to the act of movement and/or running. Varying the weight of the stroke is meant to mimic the curves on a running course, as well as the way laces fall at the base of a shoe.
