Charlotte Museum of History
My immediate inspiration for the new logo came from the general shape of the museum building, which has attributes of the Greek Amphi-theaters. The new logo's most pronounced feature "the M" is intended to invoke elements of Greek-Roman architecture. The strongest influence is derived from the long round section of the column at the base. In addition to the primary logo, the project focused on creating sub-brands, way-finding graphics, packaging, and other appropriate functionalities. The final submission culminated into a Brand Guide and Process Book.
